On my plane ride from Shetland's Tingwall Airport to the Fair Isle Landing Strip I took a few photos.

  3. Looking forward to coming up in June, I visit my parents every year (they live in Swinister), bit of a trek but worth every minute, it's like coming home :))

    Numbers 1, 2 and 3 all show parts of Houss Ness, the southernmost part of East Burra Isle. In the centre of number 1 is the deserted settlement of Symbister, about half-way down the ness. It can also be seen at the right of number 2. To the left in number 2 is the ayre linking Houss Ness to the northern part of East Burra. Number 3 shows the cliffs at the south end of East Burra.
